October 27th, 2016 – In occasion of the Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry Travelling Exhibit, on show for the first time in Korea from October 27th to November 3rd at Hyundai Pangyo, Gucci is pleased to announce that renowned Korean actress, Hyo Jin Kong, is its new ambassador for the House in Korea.
Hyo Jin Kong’s distinct personal style is in perfect harmony with Gucci’s new creative aesthetic and its philosophy of self-expression. She noted: “I have been fascinated by Alessandro Michele’s collections since he became creative director, as they are truly contemporary and authentic. I could not be more proud to be working with Gucci at this moment."
In her new role, Hyo Jin Kong attended the Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry Travelling Exhibit at Hyundai Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do. Designed to resemble a ‘cabinet of curiosities’ the exhibit pays homage to the Gucci codes that distinguish Gucci Creative Director, Alessandro Michele’s aesthetic vision. The products are showcased as treasured belongings, telling their own story, their beauty enhanced through engaging displays.
The most recent watch and jewelry lines and novelties were presented including the new Korea exclusive G-Frame timepiece, which Hyo Jin Kong herself was wearing. She also wore a pendant necklace, earrings and a mix of rings and bangles from Gucci Jewelry’s Le Marché des Merveilles and Icon collections, crafted in 18kt yellow and pink gold and decorated with small flowers, leaf motifs and a honeybee.
